Spencer Tracy, when asked by Richard Widmark, gave this terse advice
about acting: "Know your lines, and hit your marks." Clark Gable called it a "G** D***** silly way for a man to make a living."
John Ford told John Wayne that the best acting was REACTING. Alfred Hitchcock called actors 'cattle'...
For some actors,
performing has been a lifelong dream; others turned to acting from other walks of life, discovering they had a talent for
it. Some even have other professions to fall back on (Harrison Ford learned carpentry, in case "the acting thing didn't work
out".)
For whatever reason, the gentlemen in my collection have found a niche in this profession. Not all are superstars,
but they all have achieved some measure of success.

I think every guy fantasizes about playing a character, saving the world, and making love to a breathtaking woman, at least
ONCE in his life! For these gentlemen, the fantasy has become their livelihood (lucky devils!)
