Comedy is perhaps the most difficult performance art to master! The gift of making people laugh WITH you, and not AT you is MUCH harder than it looks (and if you think film comedy is EASY to CREATE, watch '1941' or 'Ishtar' or 'Dude, Where's My Car?' again...)

This is a collection of some MASTERS of this art. Some practice Comedy exclusively, some are actors with the gift to make people laugh. It is rare to find dramatic actors who can make a successful transition to comedy (Leslie Nielson, George Hamilton, Tom Hanks, and Charlie Sheen are four who come to mind), yet comedians are often very gifted actors (Robin Williams is the most visible, at present, but Mickey Rooney, Jerry Lewis, Milton Berle, Don Rickles, Dan Ackroyd, Bill Murray, Jim Carrey, and many more have 'proven' themselves dramatically). Great comedians have ALL the gifts!
